The SZZ ecosystem
The Slovenian insurance association ecosystem is an interconnected information hub with different apps for different users, their roles and needs. The ecosystem includes fourteen
apps, each with a range of functionalities. They are designed in close collaboration with their users. The ecosystem continues to be developed as needs arise.
DESIGN
Pieces of a puzzle
The insurance companies access government data via SZZ, such as the registry of vehicles or registry of police reports. Meanwhile, the government needs information about insurances and receives it from SZZ, such as if the vehicle is registered when insuring it.
Our challenge was to cater to each individual application, while maintaining a consistent user experience and a connected back end uniting the government data, insurance company data, and SZZ.

Fraud detection
Extranet
My SZZ
This is the meeting point of all the applications. This screen is available from all the applications and leads to all the applications. It also allows the user to check the status of the applications, ie. if they are online and functioning, and allows for technical support and general news.
Fraud detection
This is the Fraud detection application, internally nicknamed Frodo. It’s used by the insurance company’s investigation team that looks into frauds. The screen shows cards with different case details. They can be filtered or expanded. Clicking on a case leads to a dedicated page with in depth details. The case can also be assigned to a category by dragging it into a column.
Extranet
This is the Extranet application. This is where the users of various other applications meet up and hold organisational sessions. The application’s dashboard contains a list of upcoming sessions and all of their information. It also contains a forum where more informal conversations are led and ideas are exchanged.
